I purchased this model about 2 years ago. I find it to be an excellent machine. Although some of the exercises are weak, the fact that you can train heavy with no spotter is, to me, one of this machines best features. Of course there are similar machines out there that can offer that benefit for half the money. I would buy this machine again. I would warn that if you are looking to gain mass…free weights are the way to go. This machine will add muscle, after all resistance is resistance, but I find the rods to be a little too user friendly. They naturally become harder to flex the more you bend them….so the beginning of you repetition is too easy but the top half of your rep may be just right. If you try to get the “right out of the gates” strain in your rep you can adjust the weight accordingly but will likely be unable to complete the top half of the rep. This is where free weights will beat this machine all day long. Remember, for $2000+ you can buy quite a free weight setup. But then you must rely on a training partner….which can suck.
