SALES INFORMATION

This product is not made in the USA!!!! The sales people at the company assured me it was manufactured in the USA before I made my purchasing decision. When the boxes finally arrived they have made in Taiwan on the outside. Bow flex please be more honest with your customers. Americans please purchase goods made in the USA.

ASSEMBLY

The Bow flex Ultimate comes in 4 boxes. The directions are in box 3 and the parts are well packed in all the boxes. IMPORTANT NOTE you will not return the bow flex after setting it up because you will never be able to replace the unit in its original packaging as stated in the 60 day trial guarantee. Make sure you really want one (try one out) before you order the Bow flex Ultimate. Plan on spending around 3 to 4 hours putting the parts together.

In my opinion the company made its biggest mistake by not pilot testing it own assembly. Hey Bowflex take one of your own units and use your directions and try to put it together. You are missing several elements. The parts are mislabeled hint the large knob etc. Consumers should just go with what looks correct. Once you reach the last assembly step you realize none of the cables are connected and there are no more steps listed. You will be on your own figuring out how to hook what pulley to what and where. Come on Bowflex this is nuts for a $2300 machine.

QUALITY

This is a big hunk of steel. Make no mistake about it is the most solid bowflex I have ever seen. I wish the powder coating on the frame was a little higher quality because it scratches very easily. You will feel like you have received a solid piece of equipment for your $2300. I think the Bowflex Ultimate will hold up for a long time.

USEFULNESS

The resistance on the Bowflex Ultimate is very good. The Bowflex Ultimate is solid enough that you will not hear a creaking or straining sound when you have it loaded down and are exercising. Overall you will still have to put in the time and work hard to gain results on this machine. I recommend the Body for Life workout over the one in the owner�s manual.

BOTTOM LINE

1. I wish the Bowflex Ultimate would have been made in the USA.

2. The Bowflex Ultimate is solid.

3. This is an expensive piece of exercise equipment.

4. You can get fit using the Bowflex Ultimate but you will have to work hard to do so.

5. You should be able to motivate yourself at home.

6. You should have a dedicated area for the machine. It is too big to use and put away everyday.

7. Plan on keeping the Bowflex Ultimate because you will not want to repack the machine.

8. I am not sure if I would recommend this to friends at this time. I will update as I use the machine for 3 months.

9. Be prepared to wait. These things are backordered for months.
