Reviews on Bowflex Elite Bowflex ELITE Home Gym The Bowflex Sport and the Elite are practically identical. I will describe the differences shortly. Please note that the Bowflex Elite is...

I have had my for just shy of 3 months now and it has been great. Prior to owning the Bow flex, I only worked out every once in a while with a set of free weights I have. I finally felt like I wanted to get into a serious workout routine because I wanted to gain some more strength and add some bulk to my body. I spent about 2 weeks looking at all the information I could find about all the Bowflex and I also looked at the Weider Crossbar or whatever it is called. I was leaning heavily towards the Crossbar, mainly because it was much less expensive, until I found that there have been numerous problems with it and that many people had to have parts replaced and had long down times. That basically ended that right there, the Bowflex was what I wanted. Since I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg just to be able to workout, I looked at the least expensive Bowflex . I found that the Sport model had everything that I needed, because I wanted to have the lat and I liked that you can do rowing on it also. Done and done, I found an online store that had it for $800 right to my door.

When it arrives, you can expect 4 of a large size and weight. It requires , surprise. It seems like it took just as long to unpack everything as it did to put together. Do yourself the favor, inventory and segregate the parts before you start putting it together. actually was not that difficult, the pictures showed you exactly what needed to be done and it can easily be done by a single person with low mechanical skill.

The Bowflex works just as you would expect it. I got right on and didn’t have any trouble. The manual included shows each of the various exercise and explains how to do them. It is a good idea to read over it so you know what you are doing, even though many of the exercise are just variations of the same exercise. Also, you are not limited to what is in the book, if you think of something you can try it out. The manual also give you advice about what to eat and all that, but I didn’t follow any of that because I was working out to bulk up and gain some weight.

I began to notice results right away. I actually found that during the first two weeks I started working out to much and I lost a couple of pounds. So I adjusted my workout to 3-4 times a week and so far I have gained about 15lbs. Sure, that might have to do with eating more, but it is all muscle. The real results are how I look and feel. After only not even 3 months, I am so much stronger then before and my arms, chest, abs, and back and much more .

So far in my use I have not really found any huge problems with the machine. I did have to upgrade the power rods though. So, if you are getting this, or any other model that only has 210lbs, keep in mind that you will want to probably upgrade that in a few months if you are really wanting to get strong. The cables operate smoothly and nothing has broken. The power rods work great, but they do take some time to get used to. Your upper body workouts will be great, but if you want a great workout for you lower body, you may need something else in addition to the lower body limits of the bowflex.
