The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU is the highest end model of the Power Pro line. It’s about $400 cheaper than the Bowflex Ultimate, which is my favorite Bowflex. However, if you want to get close to the ultimate experience without paying the full $2k, then the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU is something you should really consider!
-Is This Thing Expensive?-
*The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU costs about $1,597 when you buy it direct from Bowflex. Even though many people might see this as being expensive, I still believe that it’s definitely worth it. Like every other Bowflex model, the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU works out every part of the body. It obviously costs more because it has more expansions than the base Power Pro. It gives more versatility to upper body and leg exercises, which people find to be very important. So if you are very serious about working out, you should buy the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU.
-Definitely More Features Than The Base!-
*The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU is fitted with many improvements over the base Power Pro model. Here are some of the features:
*Lat tower attachment
*Leg attachment
*Squat attachment
*210lbs of resistance
*Traning video
*Leg press belt
*Warranty
And much more!
One major difference between the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU and the Bowflex Ultimate is in the total amount of resistance that comes stock with the machine. The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU comes with 210lbs of power rod resistance, while the Bowflex Ultimate comes with 310lbs of power rod resistance. The Bowflex Ultimate also has 90 exercises, while the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU has around 75. But both are close competition! You must decide whether the extra 15 exercises are worth the extra ~$400.
-The Exercises-
*Unlike the Bowflex Power Pro, the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU has a lat tower and leg attachment. This increases the amount of exercises that can be done with the upper and lower body. It gives it a total of 75 exercises over the Power Pro’s 60. If you’re very serious about either of those aspects of the body, and want to get a little further than the base model, then you should purchase the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU. If you’re a proffessional or are 110% serious about lifting, it might be worth paying an extra $400 or so for the Bowflex Ultimate, which offers 90 exercises over the 75 that the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU offers. But in any case, the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU will give you a total-body work-out in the privacy of your own home!
-It Fits Pretty Well-
*Just like any other Bowflex machine, the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU doesn’t take up too much space! This can fit easily in a mansion, or just as easily fit in a small apartment! No matter how much or little space you have, the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU will fit nicely in most cases. Wow, an entire gym in a fairly tight space, COOL!
-Looks Cool, But It’s Even Cooler To Use!-
*The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU looks really neat with all of the things such as the power rods and extensions coming out of it, but the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU is by no means difficult to use. The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU and every other Bowflex product comes with a nice manual that shows you how to do the exercises. After a little bit, it’s easy to do it yourself! The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU is by no means difficult to use.
-The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU Has A Great Feel-
*When I used the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU, I had no problems with it regarding the comfort or anything. Everything is easy to set into place. The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU uses a pulley system with the rods. It’s a little more annoying than other machines you’d find in the gym with the simple rod, but it’s very easy to set the exact weight that you want. The positions for the exercises feel comfortable. I was able to do a multi-hour workout on the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU without feeling much discomfort. It’s also built out of high-quality components, and the rods have a life-time warranty. The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU feels great!
-The Verdict-
*The Bowflex Power Pro XTLU is a great exercise machine overall. It’s a cheaper alternative to the Bowflex Ultimate, it should be very seriously considered. For $1,597, you’re getting a lot! It’s very high quality, and will give you what Bowflex promises, a killer body in no time! If you’re into serious weight-lifting, the Bowflex Power Pro XTLU would be a great addition to your home!
