I purchased a Bowflex Power Pro XTL and it has to be one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Sure, it costs a lot of money, but the return on your investment is well worth it.

I bought the XTL because membership in a crowded, smelly gym no longer appealed to me. I have been working out off and on since I was 12 years old. There’s no doubt in my mind that this machine is just as effective as free weights and gym equipment. The power rod technology is incredible. I liked the machine as soon as I tried one exercise. It takes a little getting used to, but after that, you’re well on your way to achieving your fitness goals.

The most significant aspect of the Bowflex Power Pro XTL is that it’s FUN. I enjoy working out on it five days per week. If I didn’t have the Bowflex, I probably wouldn’t work out as often. I gained muscle mass and strength within two weeks, and I’ve only just begun to tap into the versatility of the machine. And I won’t get bored because I can do over 65 exercises that work the entire body.

I love the convenience of being able to go downstairs in my basement every morning and work out on a machine that can work every muscle group in the body. I also like the fact that the Bowflex has so many features such as a sliding seat, durable construction, portability, and ability to upgrade (for leg presses, you’ll probably need to add at least another 100 lbs. of power rods).

The Bowflex is probably not for everyone, especially professional body builders and those die-hard gym members who believe free weights are the only true means of sculpting the body. It is a great product for moderate strength training, toning, and muscle-building.

If you are contemplating purchasing a Bowflex, forget about the cost and just do it. Look at it this way — you won’t find another home gym on the market where you can do 60+ exercises, and after you’re done, you can easily fold it up and roll it into a closet. You’ll be glad you made such a wise investment.
