I bought the Bowflex elite about 3 months ago at Costco. The first challenge was getting the big packages in my saturn sedan, but I was able to squeeze all the smaller boxes inside,inside my car. I assembled it myself in just a couple of hours. The instructions for the exercises are pretty clear and they include a DVD and some software that helps out even more. The resistance of the Bowflex is good although I find that I need to concentrate a little more on my movements. The leg portion of the machine could have a little bit more range of motion as it seems short, but I was okay with most of the rest. Changing the cables during a workout is simple, yet a pain.

I had a problem with a 10 lb rod about 2 months after I purchased it. I called up bowflex and they sent me out 2 10 lb rods and a shipping label to send the bad one back with. I got the rods in about 2 wks, but only because they were on back order. I didn’t have to spend a dime on anything to get them.

For the most part, I am quite satisfied with my purchase and would do it again. Although I hope that my new apartment has higher ceilings so I can fold the legs of the station up after my workout and have more space for other things.
