Bowflex Assembly Hell?

Bowflex Tips, use Bowflex

I bought the 2 and am having a little difficulty assembling the $2,500 piece of garbage. Two part question:

1) Can I hire someone to put it together for me and if so where do I look for said individual? I tried looking in the yellow pages under Freelance Guys That Specialize In Putting Together Poorly Made Junk, but there was only one entry under this listing and the guy only spoke Chinese.

I was just wondering if anyone has used the bowflex and did you like it. Please let me know your results also. I’m also dieting with weight watchers and walking but I need to add something else.
I just recently bought a bowflex

and i have two opinions,

A: i feel it gives a great strengthining feeling that i do not get from free weights. I do not have much experience, but i can tell when its starting to work.

B: its SOOO DIFFICULT. I hate changing the freakin wires after everyworkout. I usually like to split, do legs then hands n then legs… but then it gets so hard handling those wires ahhhgrrr

Bowflex or Dumbells?

Bowflex Tips, Bowflex reviews, use Bowflex

Hello, I do not know whether to get a bowflex or (15-20 pound) . I am familiar with but not the bowflex. The bowflex says there’s 5kg of weight’ per elastic cord, what ever that means. I wish to build rather than tone, which one should I get?
thank you!
The Bowflex uses  Power-Rods , which vary according to the tension weight of the rod. If you have a rod with 50lbs tension, then you are pulling, of course, 50lbs. The Bowflex can do several things, it can help tone your muscles with low impact workouts, or you can increase the weight for increase in muscle size, as in power building. The main thing is, it's low impact. It does not strain your muscles like free weights. It also allows you to do aerobic workouts, like rowing exercises. I like it. I especially like the options and workout options. I think it‘s a much more veratile system then just alone.

Bowflex Equivalent to Free Weight?

buy bowflex, use Bowflex

I have a conditioning test for football on Tuesday, and I went to my uncle’s house today to see what I could lift on the Bowflex he has. Could somebody tell me the equivalent from Bowflex to free weight or visa versa?
its hard to determine because free weight requires diff stabalizers. it also depends on the type of excersise you were attempting.

Generally, freeweight is more difficult to handle because of the dynamic stabalizers and balancing involved.

I dont think there is a corolation between the two because they are too different.

Use a Bowflex for aerobic rowing?

Bowflex Tips, use Bowflex

I’ve got the which allows for aerobic rowing. Do you use your Bowflex for rowing? How is it done and how do I utilize the rowing belt? I’m finding the manual a little light on this info. Any help would be great!
I have a so I‘m not sure how they are different.

First choose a weight that you can easily -press. Basically you are just doing a press over and over except the weights aren’t attached to the belt, they’re in your hands.

Bowflex workouts for Women?

buy bowflex, use Bowflex

I recently purchased a used Bowflex and I am wondering if anyone can point me to workouts that I could be doing. I’m a tall woman, 30 years old, BMI is normal, but need to work on getting back muscle tone and a tighter figure. My middle area holds my extra weight. Links to websites with photos are even better, but general lists of workout exercises are great too. THANKS!!
In general, do the same exercises as men. Unless you are taking testosterone injections or are unusually butch, you won’t have to worry about looking pumped up, no matter how many exercises you do.

I just purchased a Bowflex Sport,I want to lose at least 20 lbs and was wondering When should I use my Bowflex

Bowflex Tips, Bowflex products, buy bowflex, use Bowflex

I was told I should lose the weight Before because the bowflex is to tone up your body AFTER you lose the weight.is this true I wonder.Right know what I am doing is a 1 mile then I go to the bowflex for 30 minutes.I do this 2 times a day.I just started the bowflex 3 days ago and been using the for 4weeks.
If you wait till you lose weight then it will be so much harder to tone up. You are to use the bow flex before during & after the weight loss so that you can mantain your hard work. You will have alot of loose hanging skin if you wait till after you lose the weight. Congratulations on getting the bowflex & on wanting to better your health & appearance !!!

Bowflex for gaining muscle mass?

Bowflex Tips, Bowflex reviews, use Bowflex

I am currently on a weight/muscle gaining program and was wondering what you guy’s think about the Bowflex? I am trying to gain 40 pounds of muscle and was wondering if the Bowflex would be the way to go, or if a set of free weights would be a better choice. I know going to the would be the best option, but I have no time to do so.
Bowflex definitly won’t do the job, this coming from a guy who works out 5 to 6 days a week for 8 years now. free weights all the way and hard core lifting. Go with and a bench that go’s from incline to decline. But your going to have to still make it to the twice a week for legs and special muscles.
