My wife bought this, if it was up to me we wouldn’t have. I figured I would surprise her while she was out of town and assemble it for her. Box 1 says it has the instructions in it, so I opened that one first and began to read the instructions. Guess what? The instructions do not tell you what is in each of the 8 boxes. So I figure the instructions are in Box 1 - then the next logical step is to open up Box 2 to begin, WRONG!!!! Box 2 does not contain the parts for the first step, those are in Box 3. Additionally, the bolts needed for step one are not with the parts in Box 3, nor Box 4, you guessed it - Box 5 - of course!!! (I am saying that very sarcastically.) Yes, I tried to call customer service to ask them - conveniently they are available Monday through Friday during normal working hours - when most people are working. The sales number is available 7 days a week though. FWIW - I know someone that works there and I will make sure that this is known about.

I recently have bought a Ultimate2 and am a previous owner of a PowerPro Bowflex(6 years). The ultimate 2 is one of the best workout machines I have ever used.

If given a choice of a free gym membership or a Bowflex ultimate2 I would take the bowflex machine. It is that good.

My favorites are:

-squat attachement exercise-this rocks and man does it work out your legs

-Adjustable pulley chest flyes this will burn your chest like you cant believe

-leg curls really hammer the hamstrings

There are a couple of small dissappointments though:

-preacher curl doesnt work quite right and feels a little clumsy

-leg extension seems a little wobbly

14 hours worth of assembly(2 hours just for waste management of cardboard and 6 bags of left over styrofoam. Very difficult and time consuming to assemble. Assembly manual is 40 pages long.

Strongly recommend the accessory stand to put the attachements in or you will have stuff laying all over the ground
