There are many models of Bowflex machines. I have been working out for over 25 years and am a Personal Trainer. I am spending considerable time using these various models. I have reviewed several models and have briefly compared them. This is a stand …
Due to the recall of the Power Pro model, Bowflex has done an exercise machine reshuffling. They’ve ditched all their models except the Ultimate, Xtreme 2 (new), Xtreme, Sport, and Versatrainer. With the Power Pro, there were two safety problems: 1) …
The reason is the Bowflex Sport. It has taken me many years (and several similar Bowflex machines) to get to the level I have currently attained; however, I must say that I believe, and have heard from others, that I have gained a better look and …
First of all I can never compete with the facts that jo.com discussed about the machine great review. I have had the bowflex sport for over a year now and keep it in my garage. I have never had a problem with it. It did take around 2 1/2 hours to …
I have had my Bowflex Sport for just shy of 3 months now and it has been great. Prior to owning the Bow flex, I only worked out every once in a while with a set of free weights I have. I finally felt like I wanted to get into a serious workout routine …
I’m new to fitness and havent done any real physical activities in the last few years. I’ve never heard a bad review of any bowflex product so and when I saw the Sport model at Academy for $799 I decided why not. Assembly wasnt difficult but you do need …
I just purchased the Bowflex Sport model, and I must say “IT IS NOT FOR ANY ONE OVER 6ft TALL”.
Although it probably works well for shorter people, it is limited to full motion of certain exercises.
I am 6ft-3in tall, 285lbs and have a difficult time doing the Ab routines they recommend, the lying leg curls, and the Lat pull downs just to name a few.
I also have a handicap to my right hand and changing the different bars, straps, and setups is somewhat hard; especially trying to use the snap clips that you connect the cables with.
I won’t make this review long; so to sum-up, it seems to be a good machine for average size people.
Make sure you measure the room it is going into, it takes up quite a bit of room (height and width).
I guess for the money you could get something just a nice but cheaper if you shop around.
Great machine for those who are looking for motivation to get back into shape. No heavy, clanking weights or squeaky pulleys here. Smooth operation and clean lines. Looks good in a room. A serious machine. It actually beckons you to come workout. Not wobbly or loose, all fittings are tight and very solid. Resistance is easy at first then constant and hardest at maximum flex. You get a really good workout with this machine. Nothing is going to fall on you or snap back into your face.
I must admit I fell in to all the hype and bought this product,at first I was happy with it then I got sick of it.It takes to much trouble to switch the cables. The power rods gets twisted up with each other but when i finally realized that I didn’t like it was when I benched 200 lbs with the so called accurate power rods, their is no way I can bench 200 lbs using real free weights. When you look at it you think there is no way this can be worth anything more than $250-300 at the most. you are really just paying for the name.If you want real results use free weights not rubber bands!
